About SCHS Surprise Campus
The SCHS Surprise Campus offers an alternative academic setting designed for students who benefit from smaller class sizes and individualized attention. As part of Arizona’s public charter school system, we provide an accredited diploma program at no cost to enrolled students.
Our campus operates Monday through Friday with two daily instructional sessions: 7:15–11:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.–3:45 p.m. Students attend one session and complete coursework through a standards-aligned online curriculum with on-site support from certified teachers and student success mentors.
This blended model allows students to progress based on demonstrated understanding of each subject. Teachers are available during every session to provide instruction, review assignments, and monitor academic progress. The structured schedule combined with self-paced coursework helps students build consistency and accountability.
We also support students aged 16 and older through our dropout recovery pathway. Instead of pursuing a GED, eligible students can return and work toward a traditional high school diploma. Our knowledgeable team evaluates transcripts and creates a personalized graduation plan that serves as their pathway toward graduation.

The Surprise Campus is led by Principal Sarah Wade, who joined Student Choice High School in 2020. She brings experience in school leadership and a strong commitment to helping students complete high school.
Principal Wade focuses on maintaining a respectful and focused campus culture. She works closely with certified teachers to support academic progress and encourage students to take ownership of their goals. Her leadership emphasizes consistency, communication, and steady forward movement toward graduation.
