About SCHS Peoria Campus

Our Peoria Campus offers a blended learning environment where students work alongside certified educators and experienced Student Success Mentors. Together, they develop meaningful post-secondary plans and receive the ongoing guidance needed to see them through. Students engage with a standards-based online curriculum during instructional blocks held Monday through Friday. With two daily session options, we provide flexible scheduling that aligns with individual needs and responsibilities.

We combine direct, on–site teacher support with self–paced academic progress, allowing students to focus on mastering content and completing necessary credits. Our small class settings enable teachers to provide individualized assistance, help students set daily goals, and closely monitor their academic performance.

As a public charter school, attendance is 100% tuition-free for all enrolled students. Additionally, our Peoria Campus plays a vital role in dropout recovery. Students ages 16 and older who have previously left school can return to work toward an accredited high school diploma, offering a comprehensive and supportive alternative to preparing for a GED.

Tracy HansonThe Peoria Campus is led by Principal Tracy Hanson, an educator devoted to helping students succeed and stay engaged in school. With a strong background in secondary education and leadership, she emphasizes respectful interactions, high expectations, and consistent support. Her work centers on creating a setting where students feel seen, respected, and encouraged to set realistic goals.

Under Principal Hanson’s leadership, teachers at Peoria focus on building strong relationships with students and tailoring instructional support to individual strengths. She believes when students receive encouragement and clear academic direction, they are better equipped to complete credits and finish their diploma plan.

Traditional Alternative Education 

This program combines teacher–guided learning with online coursework. Students attend structured session times on campus and engage with our standards-based digital curriculum during those blocks. The self-paced design gives learners the freedom to advance at a rate suited to their needs while still receiving direct academic instruction from certified teachers.

Traditional Alternative Education is ideal for students who didn’t thrive in a larger, traditional school environment and prefer a smaller setting with personalized attention. Students work toward accumulating the credits they need to graduate while building essential skills for success beyond high school.

Credit Recovery Program 

Our Credit Recovery Program is designed for students who are behind in credits or have paused their education. The Peoria team reviews each student’s transcript, identifies the specific coursework needed for graduation, and builds a tailored plan to help them catch up.

This structured approach allows learners to concentrate on necessary classes without repeating coursework, all while benefiting from dedicated teacher guidance and mentorship.
