The SCHS Glendale Learning Center is part of Student Choice High School, a tuition-free public charter school dedicated to alternative education pathways. Our Glendale location was built for students who need flexibility, personalized attention, and a school that adapts to their lives instead of the other way around.
We serve students across the Glendale community who are working toward earning a high school diploma through a self-paced, mastery-based model. Our learning center offers a structured, welcoming environment where students receive daily support from certified educators who know them by name. Meet Principal Tamara Yazzie of SCHS Glendale Learning Center
Our Glendale Learning Center is led by Principal Tamara Yazzie, an experienced educator with more than two decades in the classroom and school leadership. She brings a deep understanding of alternative education and a strong belief that every student can succeed with the right support and expectations.
Principal Yazzie leads with consistency, care, and accountability. She works closely with students, families, and staff to create a positive school culture where effort matters and growth is celebrated. Under her leadership, our Glendale campus remains focused on relationships, clear goals, and helping students take ownership of their education.

Courses are accessible 24/7, giving students the freedom to complete assignments at times that work best for them. In addition to online access, our learning center is open weekly to provide in-person academic support, tutoring, and mentoring whenever students need extra help. We take away the barriers standing in the way of students and their graduation ceremony.
